- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons lemon peel, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- GLAZE
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 -2 tablespoon lemon juice

1Heat oven to 350°F.

2Combine sugar and butter in large mixer bowl.

3Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.

4Add sour cream, eggs, lemon peel and lemon extract; continue beating until well mixed.

5Reduce speed to slow; add flour, baking powder and salt.

6Beat until well mixed.

7Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.

8Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

9Cool completely.

10Combine powdered sugar and enough lemon juice for desired glazing consistency in small bowl.
