- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons green chilies, chopped
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup salsa
- salt and pepper
Directions

1In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.

2Add scallions and garlic cloves and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.

3Add black beans and water. Increase heat and bring to a boil.

4Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5Add salsa and stir until heated through.
