Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Dissolve the yeast.

    Add the remaining ingredients.

    Mix well. Add more flour if needed.

    Cover airtight in large mixing bowl. Store in refrigerator for 12 hours.

    Pinch off amount wanted and roll on floured dough board.

    Cut into biscuits.

    Place in greased hot pan; turn once to get grease coated on both sides.

    Bake at 350° until top is golden brown.

    Dough will keep for a week.
