- 2 pkg. dry yeast (Rapid)
- 1 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 c. sourdough starter at room temperature
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 5 1/2 to 6 c. flour, unbleached
- vegetable oil
- butter or margarine
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in a large nonmetal bowl and let stand 5 minutes.

2Stir in sourdough starter, 1/4 cup sugar, oil, salt, eggs and 3 cups flour.

3Gradually stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.

4Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.

5Place in a well-greased bowl, turning to grease top.

6Cover and let rise in a warm place free from draft (put in sink with warm water) 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in size.

7Punch down and divide into 2 loaves.

8Place in greased loaf pans.

9Brush with oil.

10Let rise in warm place for 1 hour.

11Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes.
