- 1 c. buttermilk
- melted butter
Directions

1Cut shortening into flour with a pastry blender or fork until crumbly.

2Add buttermilk, stirring the mixture just until moistened.

3Pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch round cutter.

4Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

5Bake at 425° for 14 minutes or until golden.
