Southern-Fried Chicken Strips

- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. low-fat plain yogurt
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. leaf thyme, crumbled
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. boneless, skinned chicken breast, cut into strips about 3 x 1/2 x 1/2-inches
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground hot red pepper
- vegetable oil for frying
Directions

1Combine milk and yogurt.

2Add chicken strips, toss to mix. Combine dry ingredients on piece of wax paper.

3Put 1/4 inch oil into skillet and heat to 325°.

4Add evenly coated chicken, avoiding overcrowding skillet.

5Cook until browned on bottom. Turn to brown other side.

6Remove from oil to drain.

7Serve immediately.
