Southern Icebox Pie

   Preheat oven to 300°.

   Beat egg whites until stiff.

   Add sugar slowly and beat, then add vanilla.

   Fold in cracker crumbs and nuts.

   Pour into a buttered pan.

   Bake until golden brown (about 30 minutes).

   Cool.

   Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with coconut (also nuts if desired).
