- 1 small head cabbage, coarsely diced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1In 5-quart Dutch oven or 12-inch skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until browned.

2Add cabbage, onion and salt.

3Stir to coat cabbage evenly with bacon drippings.

4Add water and reduce heat.

5Cover and cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and lightly browned.
