Spaghetti Pie

- 4 oz. spaghetti
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 lb. ground beef or bulk Italian sausage
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1/4 c. green pepper
- 3/4 c. spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese (2 oz.)
Directions

1For crust, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. Combine 1 egg, Parmesan cheese and margarine. Stir in hot spaghetti.

2Press mixture evenly into bottom and up sides of a 9-inch plate. Drain cottage cheese .

3Combine with 1 egg. Spread over crust. Set aside.

4In a large skillet, cook meat, onion and green pepper until meat is brown. Drain fat.

5Stir in spaghetti sauce.

6Heat through.

7Spoon over cottage cheese. Bake in a 350° oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Bake about 5 minutes more or until cheese melts and crust sets.

8Let stand 5 minutes. Cut into wedges.

9Serves 4 or 5.
