- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 envelope French-style spaghetti sauce
- 2 c. water or more
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 bay leaf, crumbled
- 1 tsp. cumin powder
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- salt to taste
- mushrooms (optional)
Directions

1Brown meat, stirring to avoid large lumps.

2Add onion (1/2 cup or more); cook until clear and soft.

3Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
