  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large can Italian tomatoes
  • 1 large tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained

Directions

    Brown meat and onion together. Add tomatoes, sauce, paste and all other ingredients except mushrooms. Let simmer for about 1 hour. Near end of cooking time, add mushrooms. Makes enough sauce for about 1/2 pound of cooked spaghetti.
