Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped (optional)
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 16 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. fresh parsley

Directions

    Crumble meat in pan with oil, onion and garlic.

    Cook until onion is soft and clear.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

    Makes 5 cups of sauce.

    It can be frozen for later meals.

    Also, can be made by mixing meat, parsley and Italian cheese into meat balls, then cooking with onion and oil the same as above.
