  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, ground
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 3 (28 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon anise

Directions

    Brown hamburger and sausage with onion, garlic and mushrooms.

    Drain.

    Add remaining ingredients PLUS 2 jars of water.

    Cook partially uncovered for 3-4 hours until sauce cooks down to desired consistency, stirring frequently.
