  • 1 (20 oz.) can apple pie filling
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. apple pie spice powder
  • 1 (18 oz.) box yellow cake mix
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

    Put apple pie mix into blender with eggs, apple pie spice and cloves.

    Blend until smooth.

    Dump into 2-quart mixing bowl and beat in cake mix with electric mixer on medium speed, blending thoroughly.

    Remove beaters.

    Stir in raisins and nuts.

    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.

    Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.

    Frost.
