- 1 3/4 c. long grain rice
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed chicken broth
- 1 1/3 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
Directions

1Cook rice, onion and garlic in hot oil for 5 to 7 minutes over medium heat, stirring frequently.

2Carefully add broth, water, tomato sauce and pepper.

3Bring to boiling.

4Transfer the hot mixture to a 2-quart casserole.

5Cover and bake in a 350° oven about 35 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. If desired, fluff with a fork before serving.

6Goes well with poultry or fish.
