  • 1 lb. rice
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c. fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 c. water

Directions

    In a deep skillet heat oil; add onions, tomato, green peppers, cilantro, garlic powder, salt, pepper, rice and tomato sauce.

    Add water to just go over the rice.

    Boil.

    Cover on low heat for 15 minutes.

    Stir; cover until done.
