  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • small amount of oil
  • 1 c. rice (not instant)
  • pinch of saffron
  • 1 can consomme
  • 3 cans hot water (use consomme empty can to measure)
  • 1 small jar pimientos
  • 1 jar mushrooms

    Chop garlic and onion. Saute in a small amount of oil. Add rice

    a few minutes to pick up the flavor. Add saffron, consomme, water, pimientos and mushrooms. Bring to a boil and bake covered in a 10-inch Dutch oven for 1 hour over medium heat.
