  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. long grain rice (uncooked)
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 to 3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of black pepper

Directions

    Brown rice in oil in skillet.

    Pour tomato sauce and water in skillet after rice has browned.

    Add onion, salt and pepper.

    Cook at medium heat for approximately 40 minutes.

    Stir occasionally. If rice starts sticking, add more water.
