- 1 1/2 c. sliced onions
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
- 4 Tbsp. green pepper
- 3 Tbsp. fat or oleo
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Cook sliced onion and pepper in fat until soft, then add bay leaf, cloves, tomatoes, sugar and salt.

2Simmer 15 minutes.

3Add cooked rice.

4Bake in casserole about 30 minutes in moderate oven.
