- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter or bacon grease
- 1/4 c. bell pepper
- 1/4 c. onion
Directions

1Bring to a boil the rice, water and salt.

2Turn heat down to low setting and cover with a lid.

3Simmer 14 minutes.

4Saute bell pepper and onion in butter or bacon grease until onion is tender. Add this to the rice, then add tomato sauce and pepper.

5Mix thoroughly and simmer 10 minutes.
