Ingredients

  • 1/4 cups Margarine Or Oil
  • 1/4 whole Medium Onion, Diced
  • 1/2 whole Red Or Green Pepper, Diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1-1/2 cup Converted Rice (white Rice Will Get Very Mushy With All The Stirring Required)
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons Pepper

Directions

    In a large saucepan over low heat, heat oil and saute onion, pepper, and garlic for 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and bring all to a boil. Simmer over low heat, stirring often to prevent burning.

    Cook for 25-30 minutes until done. Add extra water if needed.
