- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 medium onions
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. comino (cumin)
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. chili powder (optional)
- 1 c. dry rice (long grain)
- 1 qt. canned tomatoes or juice
- 1 qt. water, if needed
Directions

1In grease, cook onions, pepper, comino, oregano, salt and rice.

2Cook until begins to brown. Add tomatoes and water.

3Cook slowly about 40 minutes.

4When served, add a small amount of hot sauce to each serving.

5(Let each do their own.)

6Serve with Japanese Chicken.
