- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 3 lb beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 medium onion, chopped
- 28 oz stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 10 oz condensed beef broth, undiluted
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 5 medium red potatoes, diced
- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 1 can corn, drained
Directions

1In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, paprika, 1 teaspoon chili powder, salt and garlic powder.

2Add beef a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat.

3In a large soup kettle, brown beef in oil in batches.

4Stir in the onions, tomatoes, broth, cayenne and remaining chili powder.

5Bring to a boil.

6Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally

7Add potatoes and carrots.

8Cover and simmer 35 to 40 minutes longer or until meat and vegetables are tender.

9Add corn and heat through.

10Add a thickening agent to achieve the desired thickness for your stew.
