Spicy Glazed Pecans

- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 scant tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Butter heavy large baking sheet. Combine first 4 ingredients in heavy small saucepan.

3Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

4Boil 2 minutes.

5Add pecans and stir until pecans are coated with mixture (about 1 minute). Transfer pecans to prepared sheet, spreading evenly.

6Bake until light brown (13 minutes).

7Transfer to cookie sheet (lined with wax paper) and separate pecans with fork.

8Cool completely.

9Great added to salad with romaine, Blue chunks and vinaigrette dressing.
