- 1/2 c. each: chopped celery and onions
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/8 tsp. each: ground allspice and cinnamon
- salt and black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 c. cooked rice
- 1/2 c. raisins, plumped
- 1 tart cooking apple, cored and chopped
- 1/2 c. sliced almonds, toasted
Directions

1In a large skillet, cook celery and onions in butter until tender-crisp.

2Stir in seasonings, rice and raisins.

3Heat thoroughly.

4Stir in apple; remove from heat.

5Cover and let stand 5 minutes.

6Sprinkle with almonds.
