Spinach Gratin

  • 13 1/3 cups fresh spinach washed
  • 2 mayonnaise dollops* Hellmnann's Real
  • 75ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • 1 onion small, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped

Directions

    Pre-heat the oven to 200°C.

    Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the onion until softened. Add the garlic and stir.

    Add the spinach, cover and cook until wilted.

    In a separate pan, warm the milk and whisk in the mayonnaise. Add the pepper and nutmeg.

    Pour the mayonnaise mixture over the spinach and stir well.

    Transfer to an oven proof dish and sprinkle parmesan over the top.

    Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
