  • 600 g washed & trimmed spinach leaves
  • 150 g Pears in syrup
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground nutmeg

Add the spinach leaves & remove once the water has come back to the boil. Drain the spinach leaves in a colander & refresh in cold water. Squeeze out all the water from the spinach leaves.","2":"Place the drained spinach leaves & the drained pears into a blender & make them into a coarse puree.","4":"In a saucepan, melt the butter until it is a light nutty brown colour.
