Spinach Quiche

  • 2 pkg. frozen spinach
  • 1 1/2 c. Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c. green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 strips bacon, fried crisp
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 2 to 3 fresh tomatoes
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    Prepare spinach according to package and drain well. Combine eggs, cheese, milk and onions. Add salt, celery salt, basil and garlic. Combine with spinach.

    Pour into unbaked pie crust. Top by overlapping sliced tomatoes and crumbled bacon strips.

    Cover edge of crust with tinfoil to prevent it from getting too brown.

    Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
