  • 1 lb. bread dough (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. fresh spinach, remove stems and tear into small pieces
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 c. grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Roll out dough in a large circle.

    Place spinach over dough. Sprinkle both cheeses, garlic, salt and pepper over spinach. Drizzle oil over spinach.

    Roll like a jelly roll.

    Fold ends under.

    Brush dough with beaten egg.

    Place on a greased cookie sheet.

    Bake in 400° oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.

    Filling can also be sliced pepperoni and Mozzarella cheese.
