- 1 lb. fresh spinach
- 6 slices bacon
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 lb. red grapes
- 1 1/2 c. English walnuts
- poppy seed dressing
Directions

1Wash spinach thoroughly in cold water.

2Tear off and discard stems and blemished leaves.

3Spread leaves on paper towel to drain and pat completely dry with fresh paper towels.

4Tear leaves into 1-inch pieces and place in bowl.

5Fry bacon over moderate heat, turning frequently until crisp and brown.

6Transfer to paper towel; drain and crumble.

7Hard-boil the eggs; cool and slice. Wash grapes; pat dry and slice in half.

8Chop walnuts.

9Add bacon, grapes, eggs and nuts to spinach; toss.

10Add poppy seed dressing; toss gently.
