Spinach Soup

Ingredients

  • 6 c. water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. fresh spinach, trimmed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 5 to 7 cubes chicken bouillon

Directions

    Mix water, bouillon cubes and milk.

    Add onion, celery and spinach.

    Bring to boiling.

    Turn down to a simmer.

    Melt margarine and mix with flour.
  6. 6
    Mix well so there are no lumps. Add flour and margarine mixture to soup.

    Simmer 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

    This soup base may also be used with broccoli, mushrooms, celery or other combinations as well.
