- 1 lb. split green peas, rinsed and drained
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 large onion
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 meaty ham bone
Directions

1Bring water to a boil.

2Add peas, salt, pepper, butter, celery, onion, carrots and ham bone.

3Cover; cook slowly for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
