- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Scald milk.

2Add cornmeal and salt slowly.

3Cook until thick and smooth.

4Cool slightly.

5Add egg yolks one at at time and beat after each addition.

6Beat in baking powder.

7Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

8Pour into greased 2-quart casserole.

9Bake in 375° oven for about 35 minutes or until firm and crust is brown. Serve with whipped butter.

10Good with ham or chicken and salad.
