- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. plain corn meal
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 5 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease a large shallow baking dish or skillet.

3Combine water and milk.

4Heat to simmer.

5Add the corn meal, salt, sugar and butter and stir over medium heat until the mixture is thickened, about 5 minutes.

6Remove from the heat. Beat the eggs with the baking powder until very light and fluffy. Then add them to the corn meal mixture.

7Mix well.

8Pour into the prepared dish and bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

9Serve hot.
