  • 3 c. butternut squash, peeled and cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 2 c. cooking apples, pared, cored and sliced
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Mix squash and apples in a 3-quart casserole.

    Melt 4 tablespoons butter and combine with brown sugar, cinnamon and walnuts.

    Sprinkle over squash and apples.

    Dot with remaining 2 tablespoons butter.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 60 minutes or until tender.
