  • 2 c. shredded American cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 pkg. saltine crackers, crumbled
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • about 8 small squash

Directions

    Fry ground beef and drain.

    Boil squash until tender.

    Don't overcook.

    Drain.

    Simmer bell pepper and onion until tender. Layer in order listed in large baking dish the ground beef, soup, squash, onion, pepper, sour cream and shredded cheese.

    Mix butter and crackers and put on top.

    Bake at 350° until bubbles.
