Squash Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. squash
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1/2 c. undiluted milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. chopped sweet pepper
  • 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions

    Cook squash, chopped onion and chopped pepper until tender; drain.

    Pour milk over cracker crumbs to soften.

    Mix all ingredients together good.

    (Save 1/2 cup of cheese to sprinkle on top.)

    Pour in well-greased casserole dish.

    Sprinkle cheese on top.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
