  • 2 c. cooked, drained squash
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 c. milk, scalded
  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 8 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Rub a 2-quart baking dish with margarine.

    Mix all ingredients well and pour into casserole dish.

    Top with buttery crackers, crumbled.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 10.
