Squash Casserole

  • 2 lb. yellow squash
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • crushed cracker crumbs
  • 6 pats butter or margarine

Directions

    Wash and slice squash and onion.

    Add water and cook until tender.

    Drain well.

    Put in casserole dish.

    Add soup, undiluted. Add cheese.

    Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

    Top with cracker crumbs and pats of butter.

    Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. Serves 6.
