- 2 lb. yellow squash
- 1 small onion
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper
- crushed cracker crumbs
- 6 pats butter or margarine
Directions

1Wash and slice squash and onion.

2Add water and cook until tender.

3Drain well.

4Put in casserole dish.

5Add soup, undiluted. Add cheese.

6Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

7Top with cracker crumbs and pats of butter.

8Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. Serves 6.
