- 2 lb. yellow squash
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 c. butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 c. crushed crackers
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Cook squash and onion until tender. Remove from heat. Add salt, pepper and butter. Add cracker crumbs, milk, egg and half the grated cheese. Stir until well blended. Pour into casserole; sprinkle remaining grated cheese over top. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Yields 8 servings.
