- 2 lb. squash, sliced
- 1/2 medium size onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 can Cheddar cheese soup
- 1/2 stick butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 c. Shredded Wheat, crushed
Directions

1Put squash, onion, salt and water together; cook until tender. Drain.

2Put in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

3Add cracker crumbs, egg, cheese soup and 1/2 stick butter.

4Melt the other 1/2 stick of butter; stir in Shredded Wheat.

5Stir until well coated; sprinkle over squash mixture.

6Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and top is golden brown.
