  • 3 c. cooked squash, drained and mashed
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 pkg. cornbread mix, prepared according to pkg. and baked
  • black pepper
  • sage to taste

Directions

    Saute onions and pepper in oleo.

    Crumble cold cornbread; add to onion and pepper.

    Add milk, sage and black pepper.

    Mix well. Add soup and mix again.

    Add squash.

    Pour into casserole dish. Bake at 450° until brown.

    This freezes well.
