- 4 qt. squash
- onions
- green peppers
- red peppers
- garlic (if desired)
- 1/3 c. salt
- 3 c. vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric
Directions

1Slice squash in round portions.

2Add onions, green peppers, red peppers and garlic. Sprinkle with salt. Cover with 2 trays of ice and let set 3 hours.

3Drain real good.

4On stove, heat the vinegar, sugar, celery seed, mustard seed and turmeric.

5Add drained squash. Boil about 10 minutes. Seal in hot jars.
