  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 8 c. sliced squash
  • 3 or 4 bell peppers, cut up
  • 3 or 4 onions, cut up
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Soak squash in ice water with 1/3 salt for 2 hours.

    Drain squash well.

    Bring other ingredients to a boil.

    Put squash in and boil for 3 minutes.

    Put in jars and seal.

    Makes 3 or 4 pints.
