Ingredients

  • 2 red peppers
  • 2 green peppers
  • 2 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 5 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 10 c. squash
  • 4 c. onions

    Mix squash and onions.

    Stir in 5 tablespoons of salt.

    Let soak overnight.

    In morning, drain and rinse off.

    Put in large kettle.

    Add all ingredients.

    Cook 1/2 hour and put in jars. Really good.
