- 1 lb. yellow squash
- 8 or 10 soda crackers
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 large onion
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. grated sharp cheese
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Cook squash and onion together until tender; drain off water and mash squash and onion until fine.

2Add salt, pepper, cheese, butter, egg yolks and finely crumbled crackers.

3Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture.

4Bake in buttered casserole dish at 350° until brown.

5Serve hot.
