Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. tenderized boneless beef or round steak
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 large onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices and separated into rings
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 3 c. hot cooked rice
- 1 can water
Directions

1Cut steak into thin strips.

2In a large skillet (ovenproof if desired), brown meat in oil, using high heat.

3Add onions; saute until tender-crisp.

4Blend soup, water and garlic salt; pour over steak.

5Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, or until steak is tender.

6Or, cover and bake at 350°.

7Serve over beds of fluffy rice.

8Makes 6 servings.
