- 4 large ripe pears, peeled,cored and sliced
- 125 g plain flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 125 caster sugar
- 200 ml milk
- 75 butter, melted butter
- 1 medium egg, beaten
- 150 g light muscovado sugar
- 4 tablespoons golden syrup

1Preheat oven to 180C, gast mark 4.

10Allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving with cream or vanilla ice cream.
