  • 2 (10 oz.) frozen strawberries
  • 1 3/4 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. butter

Directions

    Pour 1 cup warm water in large bowl.

    Sprinkle in yeast.

    Stir until dissolved.

    Add sugar, salt and 1/2 the flour.

    Beat with electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.

    Beat in egg and soft shortening.

    Mix rest of flour until soft dough to handle.
