   1 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons cornstarch and 1 cup water.

   smooth;

    add to strawberry mixture. Boil. Stir until clear and thick. Add red food coloring. Cool.

    Pour 4 cups

    baked pie shell. Pour cooled syrup on top. Serve with whipped cream.
